Lori came highly recommended, and as she has ties to our school we picked her over other agents. However, we grew to regret that decision very quickly. First of all, we had very little contact with Lori throughout the process, nor did she make any meaningful attempts. If anything she only responded to a group text thread to pressure us into making overly competitive offers on homes we weren't excited about. We worked with Betsy, who I believe is her assistant (we never got an explanation). While Betsy was nice and worked hard for us, she didn't possess the expertise I expected. Upon finding out a friend of ours was helping us find an off-market home (before signing with her), she reacted extremely unprofessionally with both him and us. She accused our friend he was "everything that was wrong with real estate today" and tried to convince us he was a bad guy. After providing her context she backed off of that claim, but it was quite concerning for someone in her position to react that way. Communication, knowledge, and even the simple recall of our situation were extremely lacking. Multiple times we were provided with misinformation about the market and industry. I can see it easily being accepted by most first-time buyers, but as I work in real estate I knew it was terrible advice. If we didn't get under contract with the home we ended up purchasing, she would have been fired. When we got under contract, both Betsy and Lori got pushed around in the negotiations and we ended up losing on every contingency (timeline, title company, inspection, etc). It was an extremely frustrating process overall. So, the Lori Jackson team ultimately helped us close on our home. Who we ever recommend to others? Definitely not.
