Lori did a great job handling the sale of my Prescott Valley home. There were some tricky factors involved since I live out of state and co-owned the property with my dad. Lori found a cash-offer buyer that wanted to close within 30-days and Lori helped make that happen. One thing that I wished I had had more guidance about concerns the final negotiations before closing. There were about $15000 worth of repairs that needed to be completed and I was advised to pay for the repairs out of pocket for the immediate repairs and offer credits at closing for repairs that couldn't be scheduled before closing. I was renting this property out, so its sale is subject to capital gains tax. Had I known this before selling, I would have asked the buyer if we could lower the cash offer to cover the cost of those repairs, which would have saved me over $4,000 in taxes for profit that I never saw. Advising clients about capital gains tax is not the Realtor's job, but having knowledge about this and urging me to look into it would have made me feel that my Realtor was going above and beyond and had my best interest in mind. Also, I don't like that the sale of my property now appears that it went for $15000 more than it would have, adding to an already super-inflated housing market. Other than that, Lori has great knowledge of the area, to include connections to professional contractors that were able to make the necessary repairs. She did a great job of keeping me informed and answering questions quickly and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a realtor.
