Lois helped us find the perfect home in Landfall. She took the time to get to know us and talk about the things that were important to us in a home and neighborhood. We had a fun time riding around many Wilmington communities as Lois is very friendly and easy to talk with. She offered a lot of insight on each home and community which was very helpful to us having just moved to the area. Lois is truly amazing! She devoted every bit of her expertise, patience, time and energy to not only show us homes in the area but to educate us all about this place where we were making a new home. She got to know what was most important to each of us including distance to family, aesthetics of the environment, access to what we need to have, and, activities and places we enjoy having available to us. Lois was a pleasure to work with. When we decided to move to Wilmington from PA, we knew we needed a good realtor to help us. We contacted a friend who was in the process of selling his house and he said, definitely, Lois Potraz. We were not ready to move immediately, but we came to Wilmington for a visit and to meet Lois. Lois gave us a wonderful overview of the area and talked to us about what we were looking for. From the start, we knew Lois was the right choice. After we went back to PA, Lois kept in contact with us and even showed us properties via FaceTime. None of them worked for us, but she kept trying until we made the leap and moved to Wilmington electing to rent an apartment on a short term basis while we continued our search. This is when Lois really shined. Now that we were close by, she was able to show us more properties and get a much better feel of the type of neighborhoods we wanted to live in. We found a property we liked and were interested in making an offer, but after consulting with Lois, we determined the property was not for us. We really appreciated her ability to help us clarify our interests. Ultimately, with Lois's help, we fine tuned our criteria and it became apparant to us all of us, a brand new property in a nice neighborhood would fit us best. We settled on Motts Landing and Lois walked us through the purchase with the developer, taking her suggestion to use a closing attorney of our choosing and not the seller's attorney. This proved to be a very wise suggestion. Our house is now under construction and Lois is setting up an interim inspection with a home inspector to inspect the house before the wallls are sealed in. We would never have done this on our own. We look forward to the completion of our home knowing Lois will be there with us.

Lois had sold many properties in my immediate neighborhood. Her peers (and clients) respect her work, professionalism, and warmth. I had a very difficult property to sell, The Verandas Bed and Breakfast, We had bought the dilapidated property 27 years ago as a burned out shell; two years restoring the dilapidated building into a first class Inn. We were AAA for 20 years, as well as a member of the prestigious Select Registry. We and had a healthy international reputation (Johansen's Guide!). We were know for luxury and service. One of the owners developed "Dementia". We took the Inn off the market until he succumbed two years later. A years later Hurricane Florence destroyed it, and the house needed to be gutted - $600,000. Lois tried to sell it while it was closed with open houses as well as social events for Realtors. I was very protective of the property and wanted to insure that the new owners "understood" the house, maintaining our standards. During a routine doctor's office, I was rushed to the hospital for four hour emergency surgery. I was in intensive care for six weeks, and then six months to get healthy enough to learn to walk again. Lois took control, managed the property, and coordinated a volunteer staff from friends. Then, there was a kitchen fire. Lois coordinated insurance, paperwork and repairs. She had three offers, and I really like the one couple. They understood and Lois expedited the sale, the lawyers, the bankers, the accountants, etc., as I was not allowed any visitors due to Covid. Lois sold with property with terms better than I expected, no repairs, and a 30 day sale date! It was so easy for me! It was a perfect relationship. I am difficult to deal with sometimes, but Lois calmed me down and orchestrated a smooth transition in both my life and the real estate sales. We have become very close! Would I recommend her? Absolutely! My experience with her was first class!
