Leigh Shobe

I moved back home to Richmond in September of 2022, and I was able find my forever home only with the help and support of Leigh Shobe! She listened carefully to my needs as a condo owner, and made efficient use of my time by showing me only condos that met my requirements. Leigh is an expert communicator, and kept me up to date in a timely manner through out the process of finding a unit, making an offer, and closing. She knows her profession inside and out, and shared her wisdom about the Richmond real estate market, supporting my decisions and answering my many questions! Her enthusiasm and positive attitude were crucial in my search, since there wasn’t a lot of inventory in the early fall and I could have been easily discouraged. She is an excellent sounding board. She patiently listened to all my questions, giving me time to reflect and make my own decisions. She was critical in helping me decide on my offer! Moving back home to Richmond after decades in Chicago was my dream for many years. Only with Leigh’s support and knowledge of her profession and the RVA market is that dream now reality.

It would be hard for me to tell you without writing an essay all the ways Leigh Shobe helped me when selling my parents' home in Richmond while I lived out of state. Leigh was brilliant when it came to prepping, staging, and showing my parents' house, and her strategy for marketing the house produced multiple offers well over asking price. More than that, Leigh was always aware that this was an emotional time for me, and she never made me feel rushed even as she was advising me the best time to list the house. On top of that, there were so many things that needed to be done - from scheduling painters, plumbers, movers, repairmen - and Leigh met with all of them, yes, ALL of them, on my behalf since I lived out of state. Often she was going by the house multiple times a day, day after day. And because Leigh grew up in Richmond, she is knowledgable as to the best people to call. Leigh also came to the house to help me with decluttering and keep me company (and bring me coffee!) on moving day. I honestly have no idea how I would have gotten through both the physical and the emotional aspects of selling my parents' home without her. Through all the ups and downs, Leigh's calm demeanor, sense of humor, and "can do" attitude carried us through. I wouldn't hesitate to use Leigh again, and I encourage you to use her if you need a realtor in the Richmond area. You'll be so glad you did!

As new people in the area, Leigh was a GODSEND! We needed someone who knew the area and didn't mind fielding an inordinate amount of questions. We were also looking for someone that made us feel comfortable and safe. Leigh made us feel like family. Her kindness was genuine. My family never felt she was putting on an act to be in our good graces. The only reason I put a 5 star rating on responsiveness is because there is not a 6th star!
