My spouse and I moved from out-of-state and were unfamiliar with the housing market in the Vancouver, WA area. He explained the likelihood of availability of the various items on our “Wish List” such as brick homes, swimming pool, public road, garage entrances on the side of the house) as opposed to the front of the home), etc. Then he helped us to understand the intricacies of the housing market in the area. He took us on a driving tour and pointed out a lot of housing examples and specifics we had not realized. Leigh knows the area and specifics of each neighborhood within the towns. When we asked to see a specific house, he and his team quickly set up the showing. Leigh and his team were always very responsive to our needs. He explained the positives and disadvantages of each house, neighborhood and area to us. He knows a lot about what you should be looking for if you are looking for resale value and what home improvements will help you get your money out of the home when you sell. He knows what new improvements and changes are coming into the area (such as grocery stores) train track usage, etc. even when the information did not show up on our research. Based on his experience, he knows when homes are overpriced and where they should be priced. His negotiation skills are exceptional. His knowledge, experience and intuition helped us to pay a good and fair price for our home. He shared many great referrals with us, such as people/companies to get home inspections. We are very happy that we had Leigh Calvert as our Realtor and we would most definitely use Leigh again for our realtor needs.
