Hi, I’m Lauren Barker, and I’m proud to be part of KB Fisher & Co. My real estate journey started in 2013 when I became a past client. Kay saw potential in me and used her sales skills to persuade me to leave my job at Davidson College and join the team. Her intuition was spot on, and I’ve loved being part of this wonderful team ever since.
With a degree in Communications from UNC Charlotte, I bring a diverse background focused on nurturing meaningful relationships and ensuring steady, attentive support. My previous work with Davidson College and the Make-A-Wish Foundation has given me a solid foundation in understanding and meeting the needs of those I served, an approach I continue to use in my real estate career.
Having lived in the Charlotte area my entire life, particularly in Denver and Lincoln County, I have a deep understanding and love for this community. Kay often tells clients that if there’s a place in Lincoln County, I’ll have a story about it. I’m very relationship-oriented and often remember birthdays and special occasions without needing to write them down—I guess that’s probably a lost art in today’s technology-driven world.
At KB Fisher & Co, I handle many of the contract to closing duties, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for our buyers and sellers. I represent both commercial and residential buyers and can assist sellers by referring them to our specialized listing team. I am committed to being a knowledgeable resource for our clients, guiding them through every step of their real estate journey.
In addition to my work at KB Fisher & Co, my husband and I, along with Kay and Brian, are owners of Two Shores Property Management. This sister company of KB Fisher & Co allows us to manage both our personal rental properties and those of our clients. Real estate investing and property management keep us constantly learning, and I’m always happy to discuss investment strategies with clients. Whether residential or commercial, I have experience with both and enjoy sharing insights on expanding portfolios.
In addition to my professional responsibilities, I am actively involved in community initiatives. I believe in the importance of giving back and supporting my hometown. One of my key initiatives is participating in local charity events and organizing community fundraisers, which allow me to stay connected with the people and causes I care about. Whether through local events or volunteer efforts, I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of those around me.
