Our interactions with Laura throughout the entire process of buying our new home in Viera was outstanding from initial searches to final closing. We had a wonderful experience with Laura Shonkwiler, with Compass Realty. We moved to Florida from South Carolina for my husband's job with L3 Harris. While we were renting in Melbourne Beach, we had an agent that was with a well known company in the area. That agent did not communicate with us and it felt as though we were bothering her when we wanted to look at something. I knew that we were probably on the lower end of the clients that she normally dealt with but we were still open to a $600K budget. After about 2 months of not feeling like a priority, we met Laura on the beach. She is warm, fun, professional and makes you feel comfortable the moment you meet. From that point on, Laura was our gal! We saw many homes never feeling like we were putter her out or bothering her. Laura was always as excited as we were to see each house. Laura is not afraid of a challenge. These were very tough times when we were house hunting. Multiple cash buyers and the prices kept going up and up. Laura was strategic and was always one step ahead. Laura was so helpful when it came to making the offer. Being from SC, we were not familiar with the Florida paperwork or laws. Laura walked us through every step of the way and was always ready and willing to answer questions or help us along the way. I cannot say enough about this woman. I just thank God that He had our paths cross so that we could have the most wonderful home buying experience. Thanks to Laura and her knowledge, kindness, and her go-getter attitude, we got the house of our dreams on Merritt Island!
