Laura’s one-of-a-kind personality and passion for approaching things from a different perspective are the key to her success as a real estate professional and community leader. She has more than four decades of real estate experience and involvement in the Jackson community.
Her experience and knowledge are unmatched, but what really sets Laura apart from others is her creative vision and ability to communicate and empathize. She understands that people have individual needs, desires, goals, and ideas. She is able to focus on what matters; she helps them understand their realistic options; and, she is great at getting others to cooperate in achieving her clients’ goals.
Laura is the Broker/Owner of Thinking Real Estate, a real estate brokerage firm; co-owner of Orange Door Properties, a property rental and management company; co-owner and “CIO” (Chief Idea Officer) of the place-making company Think Jackson; and co-owner of The Theodore, an event venue in downtown Jackson, Michigan.
Laura is also a national trainer for the National Association of REALTORs, specializing in Buyer Agency education; was one of five national trainers for Prudential Real Estate Affiliates; and, she has several nationally recognized certifications in the real estate profession. She was awarded 2020 REALTOR of the year from the Jackson Area Association of REALTORs and is very active in Fair Housing and Governmental Affairs
Laura served as a City Councilperson in Jackson, Michigan's 4th Ward from 2011 through 2015, was reelected in 2019 with her term ending in December 2023. She has served on many civic and charitable boards, committees, and commissions. Her greatest desire is to see her City be a diverse and thriving community for everyone to live, work and play.
