Preparation, Experience, Patience, and Compassion
Everyone knows a real estate agent (or many). As the housing market has heated up, the number of agents in my area has skyrocketed in direct correlation as would be prospectors crowd the profession in a modern-day gold rush seeking fortune and fame with dreams of being the next featured star salesperson on "Million Dollar Listing". However, navigating the tricky waters of buying and selling in today's crazy world is no small task and should not be left to the inexperienced or side hustlers who look to cash in on the boom. My wife and I have worked with Laura for several years on numerous transactions and we are always very pleased with Laura's preparation, approach, and demeanor. Laura recently acted as the selling agent on our home (which she had previously represented us as a buyer agent). I was impressed with her understanding of market fluctuations in a very challenging time, and her acute awareness of the subtleties in our property that made it both unique, as well as hard to completely quantify in a straightforward price-per-square foot calculation. Laura combined her research on comps along with her experience selling similar properties to create a comprehensive plan for our home including pricing, marketing, and showing strategies. Laura is incredibly personable, easy to speak with, and represented our interests and our transaction perfectly in all of her interactions with third parties. The process of selling or buying a property can be arduous. Laura is always the consummate professional and maintains a patient approach, listening to the wants and needs and motivators and helping to develop solutions to address any hurdles along the way. While our relationship with Laura is grounded in business, at times she has also acted as a mediator and therapist. She has even gone so far as to roll up her sleeves to assist in last minute listing and showing preparations. Through it all, she has become a great friend and trusted confidant. I'd strongly recommend her.
