Specifically, A one level home, a wood-burning stove, a level driveway and a home in reasonable condition. We had a budget for our future home and a budget for upgrades. Laura did not stop until she met these requirements. At one point, when we were weary shoppers and ready to surrender the one level choice that we stipulated (she knew our concern because of our senior status and steps) she lovingly guided us away from this unwise compromise and was tireless in finding us the home we now live in, a one level home.
