Laura McKinney

We have known of the McKinney family for over 25 years. From our first bed and breakfast stays in Cambria to a garage and deck construction addition to one of our properties to the remodel of our second home and finally to the sale of that same second home. Laura McKinney’s husband, Mike, was our connection to her. When my wife and I started to consider looking for a more suitable property in Cambria, we went to Laura for assistance. Her knowledge of the Village of Cambria is excellent. Though she had suggestions for us to consider, nothing compared to one of our properties with a great ocean view and considerable privacy. So we decided to make that home our second home and sell the first property we purchased here over 25 years ago. We decided to let go of our “foot in the door” house and concentrate our time in the other house. Selling the first house was sad but necessary and Laura understood our internal dilemma. We agreed to put the house market and 5 months later it sold. The entire process was seamless and Laura assured us that someone would “fall in love” with our little piece of the central coast in Cambria. Eventually her words rang true and 5 months to the day, we closed escrow. Selling a house that meant so much to us wasn’t easy but with Laura’s professionalism, knowledgeable and reassurances alleviated our trepidation and concerns. We are grateful to Laura and the Sotheby’s team for their outstanding efforts and real estate skills.

The sale of my mom's house was very quick, but it took longer than we expected. Within a week we had a buyer. The buyer was getting money from outside the US and that took longer than expected. Laura stuck with it every minute to prod the sale along and keep me informed. I am out of state and that was extremely helpful. Thanks Laura for a great job!!!
