Laura Lahti epitomizes integrity, energy, hard work and creative service in every detail of your real estate transaction. Laura was born in Seoul, South Korea, adopted at five months old and grew up in the suburbs of St. Paul, MN. Being raised in the Midwest helped Laura learn what it means to be a caring individual, the belief in her country and the opportunities it offered. Laura did not take her opportunity for granted and pursued her dreams of a college education in Tourism and Hospitality in Minneapolis before moving to Madison in 2001.
Laura found professional success at a high level because of the hard work she put in. Laura started off working as an administrator at smaller real estate brokerage in 2009. In 2010 she became a Realtor and applied for the Minority Scholarship that the Realtors Association of South Central Wisconsin (RASCW) offered through the Affordable Housing Equal Opportunity Committee (AHEOC). Awarded the scholarship paid in which it paid for her first-year dues with South Central Wisconsin MLS, SCWRA, and key FOB (Bluetooth key to open homes). Since then Laura has expressed her gratitude in speaking to new members of the RASCW on “Fair Housing” and about the AHEOC. She also volunteers with several non-profits associated with that committee, Habitat for Humanity being one of them. Laura found a passion when she started building homes with the other volunteers who turned her wanting to learn more about different trades and doing DIY home projects. Laura wanted to continue to use her skills along with great local resources in the housing trade to talk about what they specialize in as well as showing consumers some “Do It Yourself” home projects so Laura and her co-host Mike Michael started “The Home Extension Show.”
Thanks to her exceptionally loyal clientele, family, personal referrals and repeat business form the foundation of Laura’s career. Laura enjoys spending her off time with her daughter Keona, fiancée Jeff, and Wattly the lovable dog you see on this site. Laura loves to do work around the home, DIY art projects, traveling, cooking, and spending time with those closest to her. On top of all things Laura enjoys, she dedicates herself to making time for others, Habitat for Humanity, Rock the Block, Sunshine Club, Restore Sun Prairie Lions Club, 100+ Women Who Care Madison and Project Home are just a few things she volunteers for. Giving back with a little personal sparkle!
