We began our move, looking for homes in Florida to be closer to our daughters. We utilized several real estate agents in Florida with little success. Most of them didn’t seem to be patient enough for us to find the proper home. Laura was actually showing an open house that we went to when we first met her. My wife and I immediately liked the way that she went about asking the questions and getting to know us personally. We immediately fell to connection to her, based off of our Midwest roots and chose to contact her to potentially look at homes that we were excited about. We skimmed through Zillow and found houses that we felt met our needs and as we went through each house, Laura asked what it was about the house that we liked what we were exactly looking for and trying to help us find homes that fell into what we were interested in. We tried to narrow our searches down each time to six or less houses so that we could look at them fully and determine if we like them well enough to present an offer. to present an offer. Laura had asked and understood our situation that we still owned a home in another state and that we would likely qualify for a home, but would not have the down payment. She worked with our mortgage agent to ensure he understood our situation and they came up with a bridge loan option for us, which took quite a bit of time. Every time we took a step forward, it felt like we took two steps back. Throughout this whole ordeal and the time that it took to finally close on the house, Laura kept close communication with us and kept us informed on where we were always asking, whether or not there was anything she could do to help the situation. Laura exceeded our expectations and made us better understand a real estate agent’s responsibilities. We were pleased to learn how many people know and respect Laura in the community. That is something that is only earned when reciprocated. For example, I asked her to thank the sellers' agent when something didn’t work out in contract and she replied that she already had. My wife and I are lifelong renters. We got married March of 2022 and set a goal to buy a house within a year. We worked with another realtor for a couple of months and we’re getting nowhere. We switched realtors in December after our landlord sent us a non-renewal notice, ending our lease at the end of February.
