Kim was awesome to work with before and after our house purchase on the Cape! Being from out of the area, we used the usual tools (Zillow, etc) to search inventory and attend open houses, only to find that most were already under contract by the time we arrived. Very frustrating process, until Kim helped us with suggestions during the search and bidding process. I've been following Alante Real Estate for several years knowing we eventually wanted to move closer to the South Coast/Shore or Cape. Kim Hanlon is a total professional who guided us through the homebuying process from 3,000 miles away. We chose Kim based on positive reviews and her knowledge of the Sandwich/Forestdale area. Kim handled every detail with flexibility and excellent communication, starting from sending us listings, visiting homes during open houses as well as her own personal scouting missions. She sent us numerous photos and videos with commentary and her unbiased opinion on whether she thought each home fit our needs. She helped us come up with an appropriate offer on several homes, and guided us to what we feel is the perfect home for us. She gave us information on many intangibles that we could never have seen on the Internet alone, such as neighborhood make up, community vibe, etc. Kim continued to support us during escrow and after closing, even stopping by to get packages out of the rain. Two summers ago we were vacationing on the Cape and decided we wanted to see a few properties. We weren't ready to buy but wanted to get educated about different towns and options. Found Kim after doing an online seach. She met with us, asked all the right questions, then patiently showed us some homes. When we told her we'd let her know when we wanted to buy, she was gracious and didn't purse us, instead sending some listings on occasion and waiting for us to contact her. Fast forward to end of summer 2020 when we found a few homes we wanted to see. Kim gave us the cold facts about one which were not encouraging. She used powers of persuasion to get us into another property on our schedule. We ended up loving the latter and making an offer. We worried we were not close enough to asking price, but Kim negotiated for us and our counter was accepted. After inspection, sellers didn't want to fix some issues that seemed should be their responsibility. Kim brokered the repairs and the deal was done. Some agents might have disappeared after the purchase and sale. Kim knew we were busy and made calls for us doing things like putting the utilities in our names. She checked in with us until the keys were handed over and then came by with a lovely housewarming gift. We have no qualms highly recommending Kim. She's easy to do business with: professional, follows through, gets thedesired results!
