Kim got us the perfect house
Before moving to Laramie, my husband tried to get us some perspective, saying that we shouldn't expect to find our perfect house and should focus on the right location and a workable layout. While outwardly agreeing with him, I kept hoping for not just a functional house, but one we could be happy to move in, with some character that made it interesting, and maybe potential to change some things to better fit our lives. After a few months of not seeing anything available, or of seeing houses with good potential being snatched before they even hit Zillow or Realtor, a work colleague suggested I contact Kim Shannon, from HammondTree. I emailed Kim Wednesday, we spoke Thursday, and she emailed me about a house that was coming up for sale that Friday. The house was in the area where we wanted to live, and it had plenty of character: a craftsman with all of the original wood work intact, except for an updated kitchen that fitted what we would have done with it if we'd been asked to plan the renovations. We put an offer in and got the house. All thanks to Kim!
I know luck played a big role in getting the house so quickly, but without Kim's attention to what we were looking for and her quick instinct to contact us when that house was coming into the market, we'd still be looking and staring at realtor websites. If you want to work with a real state agent that listens to what you're looking for and looks for it effectively, seriously, just call Kim Shannon.
So now my husband is happy to say he was wrong - we did get the perfect house!
