Keri Vellis, a proud native of Marin County, California, is a passionate advocate, author, and community leader with a deep commitment to family and service. After meeting her husband, a dedicated Sheriff in Sonoma County, Keri put down roots in the area, where they raised their family and built a life dedicated to helping others.
As emergency foster parents, Keri and her husband opened their hearts and home to 21 children, eventually adopting three. These experiences shaped Keri's unwavering commitment to supporting children and families navigating the foster care system. Drawing from her personal journey, Keri penned three children's books and an autobiography, providing insight, hope, and encouragement to those facing similar challenges.
Keri’s advocacy and writings have earned her recognition across major media outlets, including People Magazine, Woman’s World, The Ellen Show, Katie Couric’s Wake Up Call, and both ABC and Fox. Through her work, she shines a light on the resilience of children and the life-changing impact of fostering and adoption.
In addition to her advocacy, Keri has over 30 years of experience in real estate, where she specializes in helping people find their perfect homes. Whether working with children or clients, Keri brings a unique blend of compassion, dedication, and expertise to everything she does.
When not writing or working in real estate, Keri loves spending time with her family, sharing her story to inspire others, and fostering connections within her community.
