I am Kendra Powell. I would like to say Mahalo for working with me to find your new home and as such I want to share a bit of my life with you. After graduating from college at the University of Houston with a Fine Arts Degree, I began investing in Real Estate in the Houston area. I negotiated over 100 personal transactions in about 10 years. I have experience with all types of properties, including single family and multi family homes, townhomes and condominiums. I learned first hand how to renovate and remodel these properties, doing much of the work myself. During this time, I met and eventually married my husband. We combined or talents and companies; and for the next 10 years, we ran our construction and remodeling company together. We also opened a natural gas standby generator sales, installation and service company. In our hearts, however, we were feeling that our time in Houston was ending and that we needed to move our growing family to Hawaii. So, we closed our construction company, sold our remaining property and made the move to the Big Island. I decided that Real Estate would be an ideal fit as I had so much experience with buying and selling property already. With extensive knowledge of negotiating contracts, buyer and seller needs, relationship management and customer service, I firmly believe my past experience gives me valuable insight into the needs of both Buyers and Sellers and has taught me the traits, ethics and skills to be a great Realtor. So, upon arrival to the Big Island I obtained my Realtors license and spent the first 8 years working with and learning from an amazing company. Once we were ready to create another business for ourselves, my husband and I partnered with Chris Webster and opened Hawai’i Estates where we continue helping clients both locally, nationally and internationally. In my spare time, I love to hike, swim and generally be active. I volunteer at my daughters’ school, help with the Wounded Warrior organization, serve on the Grievance Committee for the Board of Realtors and spend as much time with my family enjoying all that Hawaii has to offer. Cute condo in Sea View Circle

Kendra was absolutely invaluable in helping us navigate the ins and outs of buying in Hawaii and the nuances of their market. She was able to coach us and guides us through termite inspections, and local lending requirements. She reccomended excellent additions to our team including our amazing lender and awesome inspector. She was constantly watching for things in our wheel house and extremely quick to respond and get us in to see things almost immediately which is an absolute necessity in the current real estate climate. There's no way we would've gotten the place we're in now without her. Absolutely would reccomend her to anyone who's looking to buy.
