Kelly stood by me, supported me, and was exceptionally attentive during a very difficult real estate climate. Through many disappointments of not acquiring homes I was ultimately settling for due to pressure of my lease running out, Kelly remained optimistic and thoughtful in her process with me. When a home in the area I desired to be in became available, Kelly encouraged me to consider it, even though it needed some love. :) I now own that home, in the neighborhood I really want to be, truly loving every moment here. We did not end up using Kelly as our agent, but we saw several houses with her as a buyer and also interviewed her as a selling agent for our house as a seller. She would probably be a decent agent for someone else, but she was not the right fit for us. In our interactions, I found her to be unprofessional and pushy. When we interviewed her to sell our house, she came with a list of comps that were nowhere in the ballpark of our home value. She then said that those were just comps that an appraiser would use, not what she would list our house for. We have had a bank appraisal done, and that was not what we needed her for, so I'm not sure why she bothered presenting us with that. When I told her that the square footage she used was wrong and I disagreed with her on the price point of our house, she got very argumentative. She asked for evidence for the square footage (as if we would lie about that?). Her arguments weren't even consistent. For example, she said one house she excluded from comps based on square footage. But another house had the same square footage and it was included. She was basing the list price entirely on the square footage. I can use a calculator for that - an agent should be able to provide more than that. Her own arguments didn't even make sense and she was rude in making them. She also gave a very, very long speech trying to sell her agency and treated me like I had no idea what I was doing when I am a seasoned real estate investor and do this for a living. I got the feeling that she wanted everything done her way, and if you disagreed with her, she would get very pushy. She is an obvious control freak. I would only suggest working with her if you want your hand held throughout the process of buying/selling and don't have any opinions of her own. Above all, an agent should have good customer service skills, and Kelly obviously wants to be right more than she wants to help.
