A guide to choosing the right realtor. Knowledge! Attentiveness! Being Comfortable!
When I first spoke with Mrs. Keisha Gray-Robinson, she sounded sweet, enthusiastic, and approachable. As a first-time homebuyer, I needed an agent who was knowledgeable, attentive, and most importantly, someone I felt comfortable with. Each buyer may need different things from a realtor, and I learned that these three qualities were essential for me. Mrs. Gray-Robinson excelled in all these areas.
Her expertise with the grants I received made the process smooth. Signing documents was easy and reassuring, as she explained everything in detail. She was always open and available to answer my questions – and believe me, I had at least 100 questions a day. My home-buying process was unique; the seller passed away before closing, and the house had to go through probate court. It took a few months for the judge to assign a Personal Representative (PR) to sign on the seller’s behalf.
During this time, I felt discouraged waiting for the judge's decision, and I didn't want to look for another home – this was the one I wanted. I felt comfortable enough to call Keisha every day to vent or express my feelings. I often asked if I was bothering her, and she always reassured me, saying, "No, you are fine, that’s what I’m here for!" She consistently uplifted me with comforting words before ending our calls. Her empathetic and compassionate nature is a great attribute for an agent.
Fast forward, the judge assigned a PR on May 24, 2024, and I was able to close on my home on June 28, 2024. Thank you for everything, Mrs. Gray-Robinson!
