I’ve bought and sold two houses in Southwest Florida using Katrina Allison and Absolute Equity. This last experience has shown me the real difference in a realtor that’s just out to get by and one that is serious and will fight for you.
We were selling a condo in a market that plummeted. It took a while to get a buyer for our home in an inventory-saturated gated community. Katrina kept us informed that the buyer’s mortgage process was proceeding normally; this was nice peace of mind. When it came to the last two weeks before closing, we were struggling to get the tenants to commit to moving out. It became a nightmare situation where they were holding on to the last second, knowing they needed to be out a couple days before closing so the property could be cleaned and have a walk-through. Katrina saw that they might be jeopardizing the closing of the home and intervened with creative solutions to remedy the problem, such as renting a U-haul for extra storage at their new home. She even negotiated with the other relator for the buyer to purchase some of the furniture the tenants did not have room for in their new place.
