Selling a home is really stressful, even more so when selling one and closing the sale of a house in the middle of an economic downturn, and an approaching hurricane on top of that. Kathleen did a wonderful job helping us close our transaction. I was talking with her about listing our home, but before we signed I was approached by a private buyer. When I told her, I thought she might be upset at losing the opportunity for a listing. Instead, she congratulated me. As we discussed the transaction she offered to represent me through closing for a straight fee, since I would be out of state through the closing period. Kathleen is goal oriented and focused on getting the highest and best offer for her clients. She orgainzied home photos, listed my home on all appropriate websites and organized an openhouse weekend. We received several offers, but it is important to make sure that all decisionmakers are on board when an offer is made. We had 2 contracts get retracted, because buyers rushed offers without discussing fully as a family. Kathleen recommended a listing price and was able to get $10,000 over asking. Kathleen was responsive and available to answer any and all questions, and I had a lot of questions. Kathleen is diligent about making sure buyers are financially qualified and completes analysis providing comps to appraisers. It was an intense month, but everything worked out and I'm glad Kathleen was there to keep everything moving in the right direction.
