There are really too many wonderful things to say about working with Kathe. She hepled us purchase and sell homes in the spring of 2022. To start, she took the time to fully understand what we wanted in a new home and gave candid feedback as we looked at properties across the Pittsburgh area to keep us on track with our primary 'wants' in a new home. Buying a home in a time with rising interest rates and limited supply wasn't the most joyous experience, but Kathe was the epitome of patience and reason in some emotional moments. Come for the realtor and stay for the Monday Morning Psychaitrist, as she helped ease our nerves after missing on a few rounds of multi-bid offers. Through it all, Kathe continued to educate us on the buying process and made us more informed through her years of wisdom. She is strategic and creative in helping you craft every offer and navigating the various ways to help you win a new home. We would not have had the proper strategies to be sitting in our home today if it were not for Kathe. And finally, do not be intimidated if you aren't buying a home in the "luxury" price range. While this may be where Kathe is first-class, our experience in buying a home below the $1M range was that Kathe treats every one of her clients as though they are buying a multi-million dollar home.
First, nobody knows the greater Sewickley market better than Kathe. Second, I was an absentee owner and she kept a check on the house in my absence. Third, while the house was for sale, the basement pipes froze and flooded, and the house had to be reconditioned. She kept in direct contact with the contractor, and made certain it was back in a saleable condition. Fourth, the housing market had collapsed, but Kathe made sure that all possible buyers knew she had a house in "inventory''. It sold with only a minor discount. She helped orchestrate the closing, again in my absence. Fifth, I would never use anyone else but Kathe to sell a house.
We reached out to Kathe when we first considered looking for a new house (and selling our existing one), having heard she was one of the best agents in the area. From our first conservation, it was immediately clear Kathe was incredibly knowledgeable about the Sewickley market, and real estate in general. We felt entirely comfortable with Kathe guiding us on this process. Kathe made everything very easy to understand and answered all of our questions. She made us feel like a real priority in terms of responsiveness and overall communications and interactions. We could not have been happier with Kathe! She also listed our existing home. With her advice and guidance, we sold our house the first weekend it was on the market, and at the asking price!

If we could give Kathe 10 stars we certainly would. She is simply exceptional at her profession and here is why: she has deep knowledge and first rate instincts on the real estate market in Sewickley. Her approach to marketing and evaluating our home was not a science. And she let us know that up front. Getting to a listing price, wasn’t about what the house down the street sold for or the house with the same amount of bedrooms. It was a collection of many criteria that when all factored in, it just made sense and felt right. It wasn’t a black and white process, although some realtors felt it to be that way. It was an art form, steeped in her ability to draw upon her past deals/transactions with former clients, her current roster of clients and active listings and her amazing instincts. At every turn Kathe put us at ease and could always relate to either a current or past client’s experiences. This was re-assuring and gave us confidence throughout the process. Kathe is a steady hand who doesn’t get too high or too low and is a straight shooter. Our only regret is that we could not pack her up and take her with us to help buy our home in California.
