My job relocated from Maryland to Illinois and we had to find a house and close before our move, all in about a month from start to finish. Karen was a referral from a friend who'd just had a great experience buying their first home, and I'm so glad we decided use her! Our house hunt trip happened Memorial Day weekend and Karen spent each day with us while we were in town over the holiday, combing through listings and visiting over twenty different homes in varying neighborhoods across Bloomington and Normal. As we spent time in each place she absorbed the things we liked and didn't, and spent time listening closely to our needs, wants and "nice to haves," which we really appreciated. At the end of the weekend we'd found a house and neighborhood we loved and made an offer, then headed back to Maryland. Even though the grunt work of the home-buying process happened with us 700 miles away, it felt seamless—from coordinating inspections to getting ready for settlement and making sure all ducks are in a row. No easy feat with us so far away. We felt comfortable asking a bunch of questions during the whole process and Karen never made us feel like she was inconvenienced in the slightest—we learned a lot about the home and the area! She was also very easy to reach and quick to respond, whether through email, a phone call, or texts. I will definitely be recommending Karen to anyone I know who's looking to buy or sell a home in the area.
