Being first-time home buyers, there is so much running through your head. Questions that seem to be the smallest thing to the most complicated; you’re forced to find answers. Believe me, even the simplest of things can quickly become overwhelming as a first-time home buyer. It took us a year to finally be find our perfect home. This year long journey included a rollercoaster ride of emotions, but luckily we had the BEST realtor we could ask for to guide us through every step of the way. Karen Ritchey was our trusted realtor who dedicated countless hours and fought tooth and nail to find us the perfect home. She also had the best intentions and always kept our best interest in mind. We felt very comfortable being able to give Karen exactly what we wanted to gain in a home and she seemed to always find something to please us both. Home buying can be very stressful and terrifying experience if you let it overwhelm you. However, I think that if you have the right person behind you and having you’re back the WHOLE way then it can be one of the most enjoyable experiences of your life. My wife and I have used Karen on two separate occasions. Both times Karen was incredibly helpful. The first instance came when we were looking to rent a townhouse in Loudoun County. She treated us as if we were buying a home and showed local knowledge and attention to detail when in home visits. The second time we used Karen was to buy our first home in Leesburg. As a young, newly married couple we were nervous entering the home-buying process. Karen did everything she could to put us at ease. From sitting down with us to go over the FHA Loan process to acting as a liaison between ourselves and the Mortgage Officer, she made the home buying process a breeze. She even took time out of her busy schedule to meet our parents when they were in town from Pennsylvania. This made our families comfortable and confident that we were in good hands. Another great thing about Karen is that she never pressured us to spend above our budget. She made it a priority to only show us houses that were within our price range, which made us feel like we were not being taken advantage of by her. I would recommend Karen to any of my friends who are looking to rent or buy a property. Her knowledge of the area and attention to detail made the process go smoothly.
