Karen is awesome! This was my first experience buying a home and she was a great resource for the entire process. We looked at quite a few homes, hit some snags on several- lost an offer, backed out of an offer, and finally hit some appraisal obstacles, but in the end we closed on something in the category, price range, and location I was looking for. If you need someone who is VERY fast at responding (and if you are in a sellers' market, you do), Karen is the way to go. There is such an insane amount of communication that needs to happen between so many parties at so many stages in the process, so a reliable agent really goes a long way. I also had the advantage of Karen's familiarity with the lender I chose, so the two of them really cranked things out in a timely manner (pre-approvals, purchase agreements, amendments, the works). Even when she was out of town on vacation, Karen was quick to respond, and her guy James was a reliable backup in the interim as well. I also appreciated how NOT pushy Karen was. If you are in the process of interviewing realtors, you may encounter an overabundance of follow-ups early on. I basically had the exact opposite with Karen- we met for coffee once, maybe exchanged an email or two after, but I actually didn't decide to fully pursue a house until months later, and she never bugged me once. Highly recommend Karen if you're looking to buy a home!

Our home search took over a year. Karen was always positive and supportive through the ups and downs of the search. She is an experienced agent with a deep knowledge of neighborhoods in Minneapolis and St. Paul–in fact, the house we ended up with was in a neighborhood she suggested that we add to our list! We appreciated her long experience in the field in a really challenging market–we all got frustrated with it at times (one offer we put in was one among 19!), but she was always available to help us regroup, add neighborhoods, tweak our price range, rethink our criteria, etc. Karen was always responsive and helpful when we had questions about the home buying process and was very available when we wanted a showing. Her guidance, strategic advice, and good humor were invaluable in a horrible market.

She pays close attention to detail, stays on top of communications from start to finish, makes helpful recommendations, and as a listing agent, did the necessary leg work to promote my property, including open houses, reaching out to other realtors, and online/print advertising.
