We chose to have Karen Goddard, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Troth Realtors, represent us as we sold our home in the Antelope Valley. It really was an easy decision after talking with her given her tenure of working and living in the Valley for 30 years and her subsequent success. When we hired Karen to sell our home we didn’t just get Karen, but a really terrific team she assembled who are not only professionals in all the ways you’d hope: respectful, prompt, reliable; but also simply kind, a trait in short supply these days. While there are many homes in the urban AV, our home was a unique rural property with acreage in Leona Valley. Karen used both her local knowledge of the market to price our home as well as worked with a third party appraiser to support it and we sold our home within $5000 of asking price. Very impressive especially given interest rates were higher than they had been over 20 years! The photos and videos taken of our home made us question why we were moving at all (job relocation)! They did a spectacular job highlighting each aspect inside and out that made us swell with pride at what we had created. This attracted MANY hits on real estate sites and social media. Those, coupled with the work ethic and follow up of Karen and her business partner Cameo Bruckner, turned into actual showings. And even more, those who visited thought it was just as beautiful in person as the pictures shown - a testament to the skill of the photographer and videographer. Throughout the process, Karen and her team were there to answer our many questions and those of the potential buyers, be it suggestions of lenders and lending programs to homeowners insurance quotes in this dynamic market. Nothing can beat experience and knowledge and Karen has both in spades. We only wish she and Cameo lived closer now that we have sold and moved!

Karen operated very quickly after receiving the assignment. Pictures and listings came through within a few days, reasonable offer came in a month, and closed in 2 months, all during timeline of increasing interest rate. Karen is easy to work with and provides the right push but does not over-influence on price expectations.

Karen has helped me buy and sell multiple homes over the years, I continue to refer her to friends, family and colleagues whom many of which also trusted her in their sales and purchases.
