I am a lifelong resident of Brookings and a strong advocate for our community. I graduated from Brookings High School in 1998. I then went on to attended South Dakota State University until 1999 before adventuring to Arizona to learn, grow and experience my independence. While there, I attended courses in business at Scottsdale Community College. I returned to Brookings in 2002 to continue my education at South Dakota State University until 2004, when I joined my family in opening and operating a Sears Retail Dealer Store. Along with my family in 2003, I started developing real estate investment projects. In 2006 I received my real estate license, incorporated as Fjeldos Real Estate, Inc., and started my career in real estate sales, while managing and building our investment property portfolio.
I have been a Realtor® in Brookings since 2006. I have had the pleasure of assisting hundreds of clients with their real estate purchases and sales, all while tending to the thousands of tenants I have assisted with rental units. I have served on our local board of Realtors® as Director and as President. I have also served our state association as a Director for the South Dakota Association of Realtors®.
I have experienced marketing a wide range of property types including residential short sales, resale, new construction, bare land and acreages. I have extensive knowledge of online, print and direct marketing methods. I have created and currently, operate two ancillary businesses; Fjeldos Property Management, for all property management services, and FPM Home Services, for maintenance, repair, and construction services to our managed properties and to the general public.
I, too, call Brookings home, along with my beautiful wife, Sarah. We are raising a beautiful family of seven wonderful children and are active in the community. I have served on multiple local boards and have been a member of a local service organization.
I look forward to the many new challenges and opportunities this business presents. Additionally, I continue to enjoy the cultivation of relationships with new clients and nurturing existing relationships with existing clients, past clients and friends.
