June and John made our buying experience so easy. We knew from speaking to them for the first time that they were the right fit for us in our search for our forever home. They are both professional and puts our needs and concerns first. We were not in a hurry to buy and let them know that our search may take over 12 months. We had a daunting task ahead of us. We were a family of three that moved twice within the last 2 years in SFV. My wife was pregnant with our second, due in late March - which served as the hard deadline for buying a home in the La Mirada/Whittier area. We started looking with John/June in late November but the low inventory combined with high demand made me think that we were doomed to continue renting far away from the help and comfort of family and friends. But our resolve was strengthened when our agents were able to get our offer accepted for a home in La Mirada. We ended up cancelling escrow for that home due to problems found during inspection, but what we really appreciated was that during the ordeal our agents never pressured us to move forward with a dissatisfied home. They made themselves super available for any questions with fast response times and always gave realistic/honest assessments from their many years of real estate expertise for any given situation. Just 10 days after we cancelled escrow, our agents were able to beat out 37 offers on a beautiful dream home in Whittier! 37! In our current situation we never thought we would have the privilege of living in such a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood, and we had genuine thoughts of settling. But our agents made it happen. If we had gone with another agent, we wouldn’t have gotten this home. Period. They’re the real MVPs. Conclusion: if you are looking to buy/sell a home, go with John/June. They held our hands through the home buying process and gave us the confidence to be able to compete in the craziest real estate market. They have years of experience, go above and beyond what is required of an agent, are able to read situations so well, have strategies to implement on the offer letter and negotiations, and are so fun to work with.

Normally, given a choice between selling a home and getting a root canal without Novocain, most would choose the latter. However, when one has agents such as, John & June Shim, we would choose the former every time! Their professionalism, responsiveness, attention to detail, and communication were all superb! They struck the perfect balance of mindfulness that we were their customers, and helping us to navigate around all the potential potholes.
