I was introduced to Joseph by my neighbor. My wife had passed and I was considering selling a second house I had. I had never sold a house before and was painfully aware of how much I didn't know about this process. I can honestly say that throughout the whole process of this transaction Joesph has proved to be an exceptional adviser. When he first laid out the process of selling the house, it was very clear and easy to understand. He created a calendar of steps from putting the house on the market to the close of escrow. Each step was followed through and I was very happy with the result. I can't imagine having someone more professional. He sets the standard in character and efficiency. Without a doubt, I will use Joesph's expertise again someday.

Joseph Reed was wonderful to work with, he held my hand and keep me up to date throughout the entire process. I had lived in my home for 50 years so as you can imagine the process of selling/buying real estate is a lot more complicated than it was when I purchased my home in 1970. Joseph helped me get the home ready for sale by arranging an estate sale, had the yard spruced up, and even had a pre-inspection performed so that we could be completely transparent on the home's condition. Additionally, he went the extra mile assisting me in locating the new assisted living facility I now call home. I recommend Joseph highly, his commitment, honesty, and integrity are second to none.

Joseph Reed and his Sotheby’s Realty colleague...

Joseph Reed and his Sotheby’s Realty colleague, Linda Zinn, in Pasadena, CA, did a masterful, efficient job selling my home in the adjacent community of Temple City in July 2020. In the depths of the Covid pandemic, they listed my property, showed it for a week, and brought in eight offers, all but one over the asking price, all while protecting everyone‘s safety. They had to be present at the property to open the doors and instruct the buyers’ agent on safety precautions. It was an astonishing accomplishment. Before we listed, they advised me on some minor fixes I needed to make to prepare for selling. Their photographer took excellent photos of the home and gardens to accompany the listing. When showing began, they kept me informed on the times when I needed to plan to be away, and were always there to greet potential buyers. When the day’s showings were complete, they called to let me know, and locked up for me. They stayed in contact about each day’s activities and any questions people raised about the property. When they had reviewed the eight offers, they presented the information to me in a spreadsheet with the material terms of each offer laid out for easy comparison. Then they negotiated the terms of the final offers and prepared another spreadsheet for me. The three of us agreed on the offer we should accept. Through the escrow period they let me know how things were progressing toward closing. They were able to get the funds from the sale deposited to my account on time for the transaction I had committed to. I had not imagined the process could be managed so well, so efficiently, and on such congenial terms throughout. I am grateful for having Joseph and Linda on my side for this single largest financial transaction I’ve had to deal with.

Joseph understood our requirements and timeline...

Joseph understood our requirements and timeline. We started our house search on Feb. 1st. We made an offer on a home on Feb. 8th (which was accepted that same day). Escrow was opened on Feb. 10 and closed on Feb. 26th. Throughtout this, Joseph guided us with his knowledge and skill helping us through what has certainly become a very complicated process. We last purchased a home in 1979.
