About Jon

Jon moved to Branson in 1983 from San Jose California when his parents purchased Stormy Point Campground and Resort on Table Rock Lake. He graduated from Reeds Spring High School in 1993 and after a year at Southern Nazarene University he transferred to and graduated from College of The Ozarks in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a minor in Accounting. From there he worked for Walgreens Inc. in the St. Louis area, then worked in the accounting offices for the Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation in Branson, managed the Silver Dollar City Campground, and Owned and operated Pizza Chef of Branson & Forsyth in a partnership with his Brother James. In 2002 Jon went to work for Myer Hotels and managed the Best Western Center Point Inn in Branson until June of 2008 when he became a REALTOR and joined Gerken & Associates. Having a great deal of expertise in the hospitality industry he gravitated toward hospitality sales, while also excelling at the condo and residential market in the area. Jon has been active with the Tri-Lakes Board of REALTORS, serving on multiple committees and as the President of the Board in 2014. Jon has also served as a Director for the Tri-Lakes Board of REALTORS and as a State Director for Missouri REALTORS for several years. Jon became a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) in 2014 and a Missouri Real Estate Broker in 2015. In 2023 Jon was joined by his wife Veronica at Gerken & Associates after she retired from teaching at Branson High School. In May of 2024, Jon & Veronica, along with their business partner Brent Sager, opened RE/MAX SHOWTIME in Historic Downtown Branson. Jon is the managing Broker of the office and continues to serve clients in the Tri-Lakes Area. His expertise and knowledge in the Tri-Lakes area is invaluable, plus he’s just a great guy.
