John is a University of South Florida (USF in Tampa, FL) graduate who has returned to Central Florida to join AmeriTeam Realty Inc. John brings a strong background with heavy emphasis on teamwork, organization, standardization, quality, and commitment to excellence. His business resume includes an Undergraduate degree in Business Management (from USF) and a Masters in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. With a solid list of credentials encompassing, project management, purchasing, standardization, quality control, and military attention to detail, John brings an excellent eye for analysis to his new career. Here's a little about his background:
Upon graduation from USF, John entered the US Navy through the Aviation Officer Candidate program in Pensacola, Florida. After two years of flight school in Corpus Christi, Texas he was assigned to fly helicopters and was directed back to Pensacola, Florida. From there he was chosen to fly the SH-2F Lamps Mark III helicopter and was sent to San Diego, California for tactical training, then on to his fleet squadron based at Barbers Point, Hawaii. While in his fleet squadron, John became a Helicopter Aircraft Commander and spent almost one year at sea touring ports of call including the Philippines, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and [off the coast of] Russia. The aircraft's primary responsibility was Anti-submarine warfare, but fleet helicopters did everything from mail delivery and personnel transfers, to Medical Evacuations and Search and Rescue operations. After his three-year WestPac sea tour, and almost 1,000 hours in helicopter flight time, he was assigned to instruct brand new Naval Aviators at primary flight school in Corpus Christi, Texas. Having returned as a flight instructor he became the Department Head as Student Control Officer and a Standardization pilot for formation flying while logging over 1,700 hours in the T-34C Turbo Mentor (fixed wing single-engine aircraft).
After completing over eight years on active duty John elected to transition to civilian life and was quickly hired as a Project Manager for the Information Systems department of a major Fortune 500 company. While working full time, traveling extensively, and earning his MBA at night school, John transitioned to the corporate purchasing department where he managed the purchase of over $300 million worth of products in over 70 plants located throughout the United States and Canada. From there he transitioned back to a role as a Project Manager at one of the company's manufacturing plants gaining valuable insight on production, quality, and customer relations.
