I have been working in the Real Estate business my entire life. As a child and teenager my father – one of the first licensed Florida Real Estate Brokers – would take me on his appointments to preview homes, development sites and buildings throughout South Florida and the Treasure Coast. I was taught to love and value the entire real estate sales process. My early career was in site sales for a development in Hobe Sound. In the mid 1980’s I went into banking and learned the mortgage and real estate financing business. In the early 1990’s I moved to Martin County and opened my own business and was a successful in food service industry. Later I became an investment advisor and a vice president of a large regional bank. I was licensed originally to sell real estate in 1981. I started selling real estate again in 2003 when I was licensed as a sales associate. I worked with several firms and one auction company before I got my broker’s license and started what became Sailfish Realty of Florida, and eventually Engel & Völkers Stuart. I have a diverse background in real estate sales. I have sold large parcels of land, commercial building and homes. Home sales have included small stater homes for 60,000 dollars all the way to private estate homes valued over 2 million dollars. As the managing broker Engel & Völkers Stuart, John has always maintained that the clients best interests are the first priority in all discussions. Whether it is a buyer or seller it is John’s primary goal to keep them well informed of the market conditions and provide them with the expertise they need to make an informed real estate decision.
