A year ago, as we were randomly making house purchase plans before our wedding, my husband Henry found Joelle Lazaga on social media and immediately called her to express our intention and to simply introduce ourselves. Immediately, we can tell how accommodating and pleasant she was. Fast forward this year, months after our wedding when we’re ready to buy a home, we called her again to seek help. We can't speak highly enough of our experience with Joelle. We were first-time homebuyers with very little knowledge about real estate. Joelle was very honest and took the pressure off of us as we learned all these things. I have renewed respect for realtors due to Joelle’s dedication, knowledge, commitment and genuine advocacy for us to find our “match”—the home that is really meant for us where we’ll be happy to live in as our first home. We never felt forced to make an offer and when we end up in a bidding war, Joelle walked us through every step of the negotiations. Aware of the current real estate’s seller’s market, she even suggested that we do not go beyond what we can afford just to be competitive. She was fully aware of how important the budget is as we want to live comfortably within our means and not forcibly purchase a home just because we are pressured with competition against other buyers. All throughout the viewing trips, Joelle would perform a methodical inspection, looking for signs of problems and commenting on the quality of construction, roofing, termite issues and other challenges that would help us decide whether the house is a good one or not. Joelle led us through multiple rounds of negotiations to get to a price we are comfortable with. While I do know that all buyers have set expectations for their agent in this professional relationship, one thing I didn’t expect was how I genuinely felt that Joelle puts herself in her client’s shoes like she was the one purchasing as she puts her whole heart into it.
