As first-time homebuyers during the pandemic, we interviewed a few realtors before selecting Jody. We chose her due to her warm personality, eagerness to teach, and motivation to find the right house for us. Across the span of four months, we toured at least ten properties before finally closing on one. During that time frame, Jody never turned down the chance to show me a property at a time that worked for me, even if it meant having one of her trusted associates accompany me on the tour. If she couldn't attend the tour, she would do her own research on the property that same day so she could have a meaningful discussion with us afterwards. While touring homes, Jody would answer any questions we had while also giving us space to take it all in. During that timeframe, she would break away to do her own tour of the property to check the AC, Heat, etc and also look for any symptoms of problems, such as paint discoloration from water damage. As closing approached, Jody stayed on top of the lender, appraiser, and the selling agent to try to ensure everything went smoothly. Due to no fault of Jody (errors on the appraisal), closing unfortunately had to be pushed back a day, but Jody kept us in the loop the entire time and ensured we were informed of all the possible scenarios. I would happily partner with Jody again and encourage you to do the same.
Jody helped us find a home from 1000 miles away during the pandemic. She was conscientious and considerate of the fact that we could not travel due to state restrictions. She accommodated our distance by emailing listings to us and scheduling video walkthroughs of the houses we were interested in. Jody was our on-the-ground eyes during our showings, pointing out details (and flaws) that we could not see on video. When we finally settled on building a house, Jody kept a close eye on the building process, stopping by to see the progress and sending pictures to us to keep us involved.
