We recently worked with Joanne Wetherell to sell our condo in Sun Valley. While she has a strong reputation in the area and ultimately got the job done, our experience was more transactional than we had hoped for and communication with her and her agency was inconsistent at times. For instance, we thought Joanne was going to be our agent. Instead, we were assigned another agent without a clear understanding of their role. This ended up being fine because we liked the agent assigned to us, but after creating what felt like a good working relationship with her, the agent disappeared without a word. And then Joanne started communicating with us again without any explanation of where the other agent went or why the other agent was not replying to our emails or texts anymore. Additionally, status updates were at times inconsistent. This lack of communication made us feel as if we never had a true partner in the process, which made the experience a little more transactional than we would have liked. That said, if you’re looking for a results-driven agent with strong business acumen and a big network in the area, she certainly fits that profile. Our only advice to Joanne is to provide a more collaborative and communicative approach with all of your clients especially when it comes to negotiating prices.
