I would ask so many questions and you can see the knowledge and patience that comes thru her explaining, showing,suggestions. This beautiful lady stay up for hours finding a buyer for my house that I sold and when I showed her the house I wanted to buy she just full speed ahead started the process. Only a true professional does that!!!

Very communicative, quickly running down leads/questions. A true go getter

I'll start with the dimensions mentioned in the prompt. I've bought and sold several houses, and have never had an agent as easy to communicate with. Always fast and accurate with responses, even to some fairly stupid questions. From her extensive experience she had detailed knowledge of every neighborhood in our search. Regarding negotiation skills, she guided us in the logistics of our offer, yet never crossed the boundary to trying to tell us what to do. And she was a consummate professional at each stage of our search. She was also patient through the process - we didn't find the house we were looking for after seeing several houses. She remained upbeat and ready to show us more. Then she showed us the right one ... And also a shout-out to her colleague Matt. Everything I mentioned above applies to him as well. By the end of the process we felt that we knew them as old friends. Lastly, both were very familiar with buying older houses. Their expertise was invaluable to us as we weighed the merits of each house we saw. I could not more highly recommend working with them.

Joanne guided me through several stressful months of trying to buy a house in a very tight market. She explored with me the possibility of expanding my search area, but after looking in some other neighborhoods, I decided I wanted to stick to Chestnut Hill and West Mount Airy, although I recognized that there were few houses on the market, that desirable houses often sold on (or even before) the day of the first open house, that prices at the time were sky-high, and that to get a house, a buyer might have to do insane things like waive inspection (which ultimately, after losing three or four houses, I decided to do). Joanne gave me the benefit of her years of selling real estate, and her thorough knowledge of NW Philadelphia neighborhoods, but remained focused on working for me to get what I wanted, even when it took me a while to figure out what that was. In other words, she didn’t try to pressure or influence me to buy houses that she thought would be good for me. Although I have friends who said, “your agent must not be aggressive enough” each time I bid on a house and didn’t get it, but I completely disagree. Joanne gave me her opinion on what bid would likely be necessary to be successful, but the bids I made were as aggressive as I was willing to be. In addition, Joanne knows EVERYBODY. She gave me recommendations for a mortgage broker and even a tax accountant/attorney during the house hunting process, and recommendations for a home inspector, a general contractor, electricians, a roofer, a plumber — pretty much every house-related professional I could think of — and every one of her recommendations has been great. Joanne is also friendly and funny. Highly recommended!
