Joan A Flood (Joani)
Broker-Salesperson
RSPS/Resort and Second Home Property Specialist
I have been a full-time Real Estate Broker since 1985. I owned and managed a small real estate firm with 15 agents for 22 years. During that time, I was also a Property Manager for the US Dept, of Veterans Affairs, managing and selling their foreclosed properties for 10 years. Having personally owned investment properties I can speak from experience on that.
Since 2010, 1 get to live and work in my childhood playground of Cape May. I am so grateful. I loved bringing my children here when they were young and now, I get to make forever memories with my grands. It is doubly sweet. My family connections to Cape May run deep. I have a special relative buried at the Union Cemetery in South Dennis. John Grace was a scout for George Washington in the American Revolution. The property we live on, in Cold Spring, has been in our family for over 100 years. And my father, Hugh [Rip] Flood, designed the Cape May Canal Bridge on NJ-109. To which we all pay homage when we drive over (a fun family tradition).
I understand the love of summer vacations and having your toes in the sand. Vacation properties either work for a few years in one's family or for a lifetime. As a RSPS, I can help guide you through the process. Perhaps you are looking for a beach cottage, a condo, a multi-family, or your primary home. I know the area, and I know how best to protect you.
I also help Sellers who are moving on from their Shore properties to other investments. It is important to know how to best market your property to capitalize on your investment. At RE/MAX Surfside, we pride ourselves on doing that for you.
