I am a first time home buyer, and though I have some basic knowledge of real estate through my work, there was still a lot I did not know about the home buying process. Usually, in large transactions, my dad steps in to make sure that I am treated fairly and get a good deal. Unfortunately, he is out of the state at this time so I couldn't rely on him. I am still fairly new to this area and do not know any experienced real estate agents. I was very scared about how to pick the right one because I truly needed someone who would look out for me the way my dad would. If we could give Jimmy 10 stars, we would. We were referred to Jimmy by a friend who had used Jimmy's services in the past and raved about him. I was a first-time homebuyer, and my husband hadn't purchased a home in more than a decade so he'd forgotten most of the specifics. We explained this to Jimmy and he was receptive to our "dummy" status. Jimmy was incredibly easy to get in touch with and replied to inquiries SUPER quickly. He was also attentive to our schedules and met us in the evenings after 5 and even at 7 AM once because that was the most convenient for US! I swear the man never sleeps... but I digress. We toured a home in town and Jimmy was honest in informing us that he didn't think it was the home for us but still empowered us to make that decision on our own. Jimmy Miller is the best realtor in Lynchburg and surrounding areas!! Jimmy suggested we get the electrical box up to code, have the landscaping cleaned up, put in new mulch, hire a professional house cleaner and he had the house professionally staged. We followed his suggestions and with in 7 days we had multiple offers!! We accepted one offer and even closed 1 week early!!
