Jessica Schmelzer was the best real estate agent to sell and buy our new home. The first time we met Jessica, we knew we were in good hands especially with her working with the renowned real estate agent Mark Eskanos and the Porchlight team! Jessica coordinated everything we needed to prepare our home for sale a month before we put our house in the market. She lined up all the contractors for us to get the work completed from bush removal to front porch concrete repair. We were then ready for staging and ready to put our house in the market! We received an offer in one day but waited over the weekend for an open house and received multiple offers over the weekend and we decided on a buyer in 3 days. We found the perfect home for us in 2 weeks. Jessica made sure we were making all the right choices. She listened and took notes of what we were looking for in a home. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and concerns as we were looking for a house such as the resale value, house condition etc.. She was available to us almost 24 hours a day by phone, email and text! She would also come by our house to make sure the house was ready before our inspection, appraisal and walk through. She kept us in the loop at all times. We never felt left in the dark during the entire process. We were out of the country prior to closing but having Jessica as our realtor, we didn’t have to worry. She also took care of several inspection items that we had to handle during our absence. Also selling our house could have presented some challenges but with Jessica’s knowledge and expertise it was relatively painless. She handled all aspects of the transaction with professionalism and a lot of patience! Thank you Jessica! If you are thinking of selling or buying a home it would be crazy not to call Jessica. Jessica was a tremendous asset and resource to have on our side when searching for our new home. From the moment we met her, we knew that she was a professional energetic fun individual who knew her stuff. She is a great active listener and pays close attention to all the details no matter how minor they may seem. It was apparent in the beginning that she did her homework prior to showing us a house by knowing the important details about each property, such as the age of the roof. In a short period of time she seemed to know before we saw a property what our specific questions would be and knew the answers. If she didn’t know the answer to a property specific question she would contact the listing agent and/or homeowner’s association and if they did not respond timely, she did regular follow ups and kept us posted along the way until she had an answer to our question. We felt comfortable looking at each property and being able to pay attention to the overall feel of the home, features we liked and whether the home was the right one all the while knowing that Jessica would pay close attention and take notes of the real important things like the age of the water heater, looking for cracks in the walls and foundation, water damage, in addition to, our likes and dislikes for that home. From the beginning it was clear that Jessica was not out to just sell us a house rather it had to be a house that we wanted, fit our needs and that we envisioned as our new home. Although she sold us the ideal home, should we decide to sell it, Jessica would be the first person we would contact.
