My husband got a big raise on a Thursday that made owning our first home suddenly seem within reach. That Saturday night we pressed the “request a tour” button on Zillow for a house we really liked. We were matched with Jeremy for a tour that next day. Jeremy was just the right agent for us as first time buyers. He exuded kindness and patience as well as the confidence we needed about each step. Not only that, but this first house (our first ever open house) seemed like just the right fit for us and our two toddlers as well.We told him “if we only had pre-approval” we would put in an offer today. After one point of negotiation on Wednesday, on Thursday we had an accepted offer. He spent over an hour going item-by-item on our home inspection, talking about which items would be priority, which kinds of contractors to look for, what questions to ask, how much to budget.
