Jay was beyond awesome to work with. We had a blast with him! He was incredibly responsive and devoted to helping us get the property we wanted AND helped us list and sell our other property in record time! He was always quick to answer our questions (we had a lot) and went above and beyond to find resolutions to issues that came up. Having gone through the buying process a few times, Jay was definitely the best agent I have worked with! Knowledgeable, attentive, fun, and makes the whole process easy. I was a little sad when everything came to a close because it was so enjoyable working with him. Highly recommend!

Jay and his daughter Macey are phenomenal at what they do! Great help in finding our new home! Both me and my fiancé were a little nervous at first as we are new homeowners. Jay understands his client's needs, not only financially for their home, but the personal attachment they might have to their home. Terms were clear and direct and we always felt Jay was open and honest about every situation. When the right buyer came along for our house, Jay made the transition/negotiations seamless. Jay is a no fuss, no surprises realtor, he gets the job done, period.

I first found Jay when I was thinking about buying in the Detroit Lakes area; I was living in CO. I called him and asked him if he would mind showing me a house I was interested in. I told him up front that I wasn't interested in buying at this point, just curious. He met with me, showed me the home, and told me about the neighborhood. I told him if I decided to buy I would be in touch. A few months later I called him again, told him I still wasn't actively looking to buy but getting closer and asked if he would show me another home. Jay showed up, happy to help me with whatever I needed. This was in a different neighborhood but he was so helpful in letting me know what was around the area as well as other homes for sale within a few blocks. A few months later I called him and told him I was ready to buy something and gave him a list of about 8-10 homes I was interested in seeing. He knew from the 2 homes he had shown me what I was interested in; the style of home, type of neighborhood, type of living, etc. That weekend he had arranged for us to visit the homes on my list. He offered information on things I wouldn't have thought of. He was personable, friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Since I was buying from out of State he worked with my son throughout the process. Jay respected when I told him I wasn't ready to buy, he didn't call me to see if I was ready, he knew if I was ready I would call him. He always answered his phone or called back as soon as he could. The fact that he wasn't a pushy person trying to sell me a home was the reason I called him back (again and again). Now that I have purchased the home I have called him and asked for references and/or information for different services in the neighborhood. He doesn't just provide information on 'favorites', he gives me at least 3 options to choose from or just general information. I am not planning on moving again, but if I do Jay would be the realtor I would call.

Jay and Macey were the absolute best agents to work with. They were thorough, knowledgeable on the rates and markets and quick. From start to finish, less than 50 days. We appreciate them for going above and beyond.
