About Jared

Jared Sotuyo has been a resident of the Great Smoky Mountains since 2005 and has always been proud to call Tennessee his home. Raised in a small town in the Ozark mountains of Arkansas, he left his home following High School and joined the U.S. Navy. Over the course of 12 years of active duty Jared traveled to many exciting locations abroad. His specialty was surface navigation ensuring the ship's safety traveling to many ports around the world. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, he made his way to Tennessee to be close to his daughter and enjoy life as a civilian. Relocating to East TN has enabled him to rejuvenate his love for the mountains. Trout fishing these beautiful waterways is where you'll find him, when free time is available.
