There is one word to describe Janet Smalley – devoted. She is devoted to her clients, to her industry, to her continued education, to her family and to her peers. Janet personifies the rare combination of consummate professional and servant leader who acts from the heart.
Janet is a fourth generation Texan with her great grandparents immigrating from Germany in the late 1800’s and settling in Needville, Texas. Having grown up on a cotton farm, Janet has a great love for the outdoors and enjoys hiking and any outdoor activity. Her family loves to explore the national parks including Yosemite, Mount Ranier, Shenandoah, Smokey Mountains, and of course Yellowstone! Most recently, Janet and her daughter climbed and summited Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.
Janet's resume is second-to-none and includes expertise in marketing and finance – two fields that make up the foundation of all successful real estate transactions. She holds a degree in Business Administration as well as a Master’s Degree in Business (MBA) from Texas State University. Her education and achievement did not stop there. Once she moved into the real estate industry, she devoted extra hours to building a resume of education and excellence.

Janet has held a Texas Real Estate License since 2005. Prior to that, she worked for the Dr. Pepper/Seven-Up Corporation for several years in Dallas. Janet then put her business career on hold to pursue her greatest joy – the role of stay-at-home Mom. Simultaneously, she once again exhibited her devotion to others, caring for both of her grandmothers and grandfather.
Her introduction to the real estate industry was personal – driven by her family's four home moves. Janet swiftly realized that one of the keys to a seamless real estate transaction is attention to detail. This is the skill that she has mastered on behalf of her clients and that has earned her an impeccable reputation in the industry. Her empathy is exhibited from her very first contact with someone who has a need to purchase or sell property.
