I never could have done this without Jim Roberts. I am a first-time home buyer and not from the area. From beginning to end, he was patient, a wonderful guide, and even funny when we needed it. As we looked at homes, of which there were many, he took me on tours of the neighborhoods of Horry County. He showed me homes in Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Conway, Cherry Grove and Little River. He took me to the beach in Cherry Grove and to Atlantic Beach as well as to Vereen Gardens. He is a trusted member of the community. I was given his name by another very happy customer of Jim’s. And, on one trip in Atlantic Beach, an old client of Jim's saw us and called out to Jim, inviting us to enjoy the community’s adaptive surfing event for folks with disabilities. While we were there, another past client invited us to tour the building nearing completion that has become the Black Pearl Celebrations meeting/special events venue constructed on a lot Jim sold to her. Not only did Jim guide me in the steps involved in buying a house, but there were things he stepped in and did when I was unclear what to do. He also recommended experts who were plain-spoken and experienced to help in my decisions. I have been beyond pleased with every expert and contractor he has recommended, which included inspections by an engineer, and roofing, flooring, landscaping, irrigation and general handy work. He literally was my guardian angel in finding the home I have wanted all my life. He even still comes by the house to check on me and see what I may need ideas on. What a wonderful man. He is the epitome of integrity, organization, gentle kindness and tact. I am so lucky to have been referred to him. I now count him as a true friend. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart. James Roberts (Jim) was considered more of a friend than a real estate agent by my father. I continued to work with Jim after my father's passing. He went above and beyond in working to sell my father's property. Jim helped with preparing the property for sale, fulfilling many of the chores/duties the owner would have been responsible for. He communicated with us continuously and helped us overcome any issues.
