The best compliment you can pay someone is a continuing relationship. We worked with Hume to purchase our home in 2016, and that went so well, that we knew we would be back with him when we sold the home in 2020. The second experience was just as good – a quick offer and fast and easy close. Hume is a long term local and knows the area and markets extensively. He is on top of every detail along the way and provides guidance on items that we would have missed. As an example, he counseled us to complete the application for exemption of withholding for non-Maryland residents as soon as possible, and provided all of the necessary supporting documentation. This saved us the 8% withholding at closing – huge! Hume is well networked in real estate and with contractors in the business. His recommendations for a plumber, a painter, a flooring contractor… all exceptional. When our application for the withholding exemption seemed to be stalled, he went to his contact at the state and got it moving in time for our quick close. Finally, I would be remiss to not mention the high level of integrity and honesty that Hume consistently demonstrates in all of his dealings. This is very important to us.
