I cannot praise Greg Doherty enough for his work with me and my siblings to sell our beloved parents' home. Since the first meeting, Greg demonstrated patience and attentiveness as we navigated the difficult process of transitioning our elders into assisted living while preparing the house for market. Indeed, I was surprised that our parents agreed to list their home with him after only one contact since previously they had been very reluctant, if not resistant, to do so. Our process began slowly as we first had to re-locate our parents and when, unexpectedly, our father/stepfather was hospitalized. On numerous occasions throughout the process, Greg went above the call of duty to provide referrals and active support (i.e., clearing debris from the house, arranging for repairs) and offered quick solutions when we had to troubleshoot (e.g., when the AC unit failed just before our Open House). He was always timely in his response to my inquiries and thorough in explaining what could be expected to happen next. Sadly, our father/stepfather passed away just days before our initially scheduled closing. Greg was extremely supportive and skillfully handled several unanticipated challenges up to the last moments of settlement. Ultimately, our parents' home was sold at a price well above our asking. Greg Doherty exceed all my expectations in a realtor and it was a pleasure to work with him during what, otherwise, was a very stressful time in our lives. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the DMV area.
