Buying and selling homes is a human adventure, and for most of us, it’s one of the biggest decisions we’ll make in our lives. I believe this experience can’t be replaced by an algorithm, or by clicking a “buy” button. My mission is to get to the “real” in real estate: to push back, hard, against the idea that homes can be bought and sold like commodities.
I’m an experienced, hands-on agent with the Witkins Realty Team, a part of the RE/MAX Preferred family in Madison, Wisconsin. I'm focused on service, communication, clarity, and education: you’ll always know what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how well it’s working. Working with sellers, I’ll find your home’s X-Factors, and create a visually rich marketing strategy that will inspire motivated buyers. For buyers, I’ll quickly gain a nuanced understanding of your interests and capacity, and I’ll be beside you at every moment as we navigate this challenging market.
I hold the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) and Green designations from the National Association of Realtors, as well as a Masters of Public Administration from Carnegie-Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
I’m originally from the Chicago area, but Madison has always been home. Before real estate, I spent 20 years managing research institutes at Duke University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and working in arts organizations in Chicago, Washington, and Pittsburgh. I’m a musician and record collector, and I’m fascinated by architecture, design, and urban history. I’m a supporter of Madison’s vibrant art and music communities, and I'm on the Board of the Madison Trust for Historic Preservation. My family lives on Madison’s east side, where we share a Craftsman Bungalow with a Pitbull mix, and far too many records and guitars.
