Erin first fell in love with Central Florida when moving to the area to attend UCF when the university was still considered a small school. After graduating from the Burnett Honors College with a bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in marketing, Erin accepted a job at a local advertising agency specializing in niche marketing of national homebuilders and community developers including Morrison Homes (Taylor Morrison), Lennar, Centex, Newland (Terrabrook), and several regional boutique developers.
After several years working on the agency side, Erin was recommended for a position with M/I Homes as the Central Florida marketing director. The tenure provided the opportunity to oversee the promotion of 20 communities across Central Florida; merchandising of all model homes; marketing plans covering print, broadcast, and internet advertising; and in-depth economic studies utilized in land acquisition and sales strategies.
"My time at M/I Homes gave me a great appreciation for the impact real estate has on our local economy, regional trends, and most importantly, people's quality of life. Spending hours 'in the field,' with contractors, vendors, and suppliers also trained my eye to recognize quality as well as potential building issues. I am grateful I can offer this experience to my clients throughout Winter Park, Maitland and the greater Orlando area."
Serving residents of our community in philanthropic arenas is also a passion for Erin - particularly ones centered on children and education. Currently Erin serves as the past president of Dommerich Elementary PTA and is also member of the Maitland Middle PTA, Dommerich Elementary School School Advisory Council, volunteers with the children & student ministries at a local church, and was recognized by Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) as a coordinator of the year for developing a mentor program that matches students with local community leaders.
Erin resides in Maitland with her husband, three children, and their beloved rescue dog, Ruby, where the family enjoys boating, all sports from football to tennis, and cheering on Orlando's hometown team, the UCF Knights (Charge On!).
