Knowing that we were going to be relocating from Arizona to North Carolina six months in advance, I started looking at homes on line through various real estate web sites. Our intention was to rent for a short period of time, while we looked for a home to purchase. That’s when I happened to luck out and find Ellen! Once I contacted Ellen via email, requesting information, she was quick to respond with all my questions about the housing market in the area we were looking at, as well sign me up for a weekly newsletter on home buying suggestions. I had told her that our intent was to rent for a short period of time, then purchase a home. Ellen even recommended a nice, affordable apartment community that accepted short term leases! Once we were in North Carolina we contacted Ellen to start looking at potential homes to purchase. She talked with me on the phone, met with both my Husband and I to get an idea of what we would like, and the journey began. Once we selected a home she was there all the way, anytime, to answer any questions or address any concerns we may have had.
Moving to another state can be a very trying experience. We had the trials of one way 16 hour drives and limited amount of time to stay for each visit. Luckily for us Ellen is a long-time resident who keeps abreast of all local news and knows almost everyone. Most of our selections were chosen online and Ellen made appointments for us to visit as many houses each we as we could during each visit we made. As we traveled across the greater Winston Salem area, she would also point out commercial construction and inform us what stores/restaurants were going to locate there, road reconstruction plans, and traffic patterns. Ellen was with us every step of the way after we located THE house to closing the deal. We were very lucky to have Ellen as our agent.
