Since we've now completed the trifecta of real estate actions--finding a rental, buying a house, and selling a house--we can highly recommend Ellen for all three of those! The long version, in terms of selling: Ellen gave us outstanding advice throughout the process of selling our home. She helped us wade through the sea of options for what to do to prep the house for selling. Ellen has an amazing group of folks to work with to get the tasks done that we didn't have time to. She was an excellent sounding board when things didn't go as planned. After we listed, Ellen was excellent at communicating offers and helping us navigate the options. As we went through escrow and close, Ellen made sure we were on track with all of the documentation and submissions. At the end of it all, the close went off without a hitch. Ellen Bendavid is a GEM. She devoted her LIFE to helping us through the incredibly lengthy, at times emotionally draining process of buying and selling a home. When there was a disappointment (and there were quite a few) she genuinely showed concern and understanding and didn’t attempt to belittle the disappointments and frustration. Having 5 small children and viewing homes constantly and having to vacate our home almost on a weekly basis was NOT easy. Ellen did her utmost to lighten the load by helping to watch out children so we can see homes. She put her heart and soul into each showing of our home, treating every walk-in as a potential customer. There is so much more to say about Ellen, but I would like to conclude with example that is an indication of how her customers are treated like FAMILY. When we moved into our new home we were immediately faced with an unforeseen challenge with was very uncomfortable for us and was costing us $ that seemed completely unfair. Despite all the protestations of the insurance company that this isn’t their responsibility, Ellen fought tooth and nail and got them to help pay for it! She cares ALOT about her clients and we were very fortunate to have found such a wonderful and experienced agent.

Can't say enough in praise & recommendation of Ellen. She was recommended by a close friend, which can sometimes go either way, but she proved a highly competent and personable partner in our effort to sell our Sherman Oaks house from 3,000 miles away in Florida. Given that we were absentee owner/sellers, Ellen had to take on much of the work herself to deal with tenants, property managers, neighbors, to prep the house, and to clearly and frequently communicate with us what was going on. Ellen is the best! This was our first home purchase. Ellen was instrumental in finding the right home, the negotiation with the seller, and navigating the inspections and the home loan process. Ellen lives locally, knows the community, and, more importantly, knows her clients. I feel like she understand my families needs and values, and ultimately connected us with the perfect home. Prior to finding our new home, we were in escrow on a different property. Ellen guided us through the inspections, and ultimately had a geological assessment with her recommendation since the house was on a slope. The geologist discovered foundation of the house was sinking, and there was evidence that the house was still shifting. Stabilizing the foundation (estimated to cost $200k or more) would not make it a wise purchase. I am certain that another realtor with less experience would not have advised us to get a geological survey ($1500, which is not a trivial amount) nor discovered this issue prior to purchase. After the purchase of our home, Ellen has continued to advise us, and help us navigate new homeownership. She is incredibly kind hearted. She also gives a donation after each sale to a charitable organization in the community. I recommend her without hesitation, and trust her immensely. If you choose her as your realtor, you will have a tremendous advocate and guide through your purchase or selling process.

Its actually hard to put into words how incredible Ellen is. She took care of us every step of the way in the most calm, professional, and incredible way. She always went (and is still going) way above and beyond her call of duty to assist in any and every way possible. including babysitting our 7 children while we were looking at the house, after moving she is still helping us with insurance claims and issues. She is top top top!! Would recommend her in a heartbeat! we had a very complicated and stressful situation, and she handled it so well with extreme patience, kindness, and professionalism.
